Fumbling through breakfast at the diner this morning, I finally caught the waitress - a nice friendly woman - and ordered a coffee and scrambled eggs. Simple. But somehow the universe had other plans. She scribbled down scrambled without the eggs, and when I politely asked her to correct the order, she seemed annoyed at the inconvenience and muttered 'yeah fine'.
