Coffee shop lines can be infuriating but today was just a minor catastrophe. I waited in line for what felt like an eternity only to discover they were out of my go-to pastry. When I asked the barista if they'd order more they just shrugged saying I'll try. The casual dismissiveness after I'd just invested three minutes of my life being there felt like a slap in the face.
