Just spent three minutes on hold with customer service, then some clueless automated system tells me they can't process my query without more digits on my account number. Of course, the number starts with eight 8s, because 885071 doesn't exactly roll off the tongue or fit neatly on a keypad. It's honestly shocking no one's figured out a standard format for this after decades.
