So I just got back from the grocery store where I saw a kid, couldn't have been more than 12, with a cart full of chips and soda. His mom just stood by watching as he grabbed bag after bag of junk. When I checked out, the cashier had some kind of fancy new scanner that didn't work so the line started moving again when we all had to go through manual checkout too.
