Standing in the coffee shop line, fumbling for my payment. Swipe, decline.
Apparently my credit card expired at 11:59 PM two hours ago,
no notification to my phone, I don't check online frequently enough I guess.
Guy behind me starts tapping foot, now the barista is awkwardly staring at the payment screen.
Just pay cash already. Why does technology have to sabotage everything?
