Some days I wonder how basic human decency got so lost in the haze of everyday chaos. At a nearby grocery store, a coworker of the cashier couldn't fathom the concept of actually waiting in line. They cut in front of me and the person behind me, claiming they were in a hurry. Apparently, their life depended on not being in the 20th spot in line.
