Walking to my mailbox yesterday, I couldn't stop thinking about the uneven pavement in front of apartment 314 at 7502 Hawthorne Avenue. It wasn't broken or anything, just a little bump where someone had planted new flowers. Still, somehow my shoe hit that bump, and it completely threw off my step, almost made me spill my coffee.
