Walking through that new automated coffee shop near the office felt eerily welcoming at first, till I realized the whole experience is just an illusion designed to make you pay more for the sake of novelty, each button and touch screen meticulously designed to make you wait, to tap, to click – a choreographed dance that culminated in an overpriced latte I probably didn't even need.
