Walking out of this convenience store today, I notice the automated receipt printer just spits out a long, crumpled receipt that lands on the ground. Nobody bothers to pick it up. Meanwhile, they have this fancy digital screen with a cleanliness initiative announcement plastered over it. It sounds like a hollow attempt to boost sales without actually making a difference.
