Trying to order my morning coffee and somehow the barista managed to turn a simple large coffee with room for cream into some arcane math problem on her notepad. She proceeded to ask if I wanted my coffee in a large cup - like, that wasn't the question. Why do I have to rephrase every sentence like I'm ordering a chemical experiment from a lab technician?
