Stood in line at the coffee shop, watching the guy in front of me fumble through his wallet for the fifth time, finally produce a credit card that took the cashier multiple swipes to decline. I asked for my order to be re-made and was met with an air of annoyance, as if it was somehow my responsibility their system hadn't processed correctly.
