Sitting next to the microwave that's been on the fritz is a real test of patience. Here it started when I put in leftovers for five minutes and it went on for who-knows-how-long - maybe an eternity considering the number 958467 displayed on the screen. It was a seemingly endless cycle of beeps, with the door stubbornly refusing to open.
