People don't know that small talk has a limited lifespan yet somehow they manage to suck it out dry on elevator ride down from 32nd floor to lobby and it's not that it's late morning I'm genuinely stuck in a vortex of awkwardness when all some coworker has to say is 'beautiful day outside'.
