I asked for a small avocado at the cafe this morning, and the barista handed me this enormous, rock-hard one like it was an achievement. Like, what if I'd actually wanted a massive avocado? They just smiled and said you're welcome without even double-checking the size, like I'm just going to take it home and use it as a doorstop. Now I'm stuck with this massive piece of fruit.
